Is your website accessible? We audit, advise, and implement.
Since June 2025, digital accessibility has been mandatory for many companies – and at the same time a real gain in quality. MOREMEDIA® makes websites accessible: we examine your site in an accessibility audit against WCAG 2.2 and EN 301 549, clearly assess how the rules apply to you, and fix the barriers we find cleanly in the code – transparently documented and without unnecessary jargon.
Audit, consulting, and implementation come from a single source – without questionable overlay tools, but with automated WCAG checks and clean implementation in the code. The result is a website that truly everyone can use, meets the BFSG requirements, and gains in SEO and performance along the way.

Accessibility is not an add-on after the fact – it decides whether truly all people can use your website.
What does accessibility on the web mean?
An accessible website can be used by everyone – including people with visual, hearing, motor, or cognitive impairments, via screen reader, keyboard, or voice control. The benchmarks are the WCAG (Web Content Accessibility Guidelines) and the European standard EN 301 549. This is exactly where we come in: we audit your website, advise you in plain language, and implement the necessary adjustments cleanly in the code.
Who is affected – and from when?
With the European Accessibility Act and its national implementation – in Austria the Barrierefreiheitsgesetz, in Germany the BFSG – an obligation for digital accessibility has applied to many companies since June 2025, especially in e-commerce, services, and online bookings. We quickly and concretely clarify with you whether and to what extent you are affected, instead of leaving you alone with legal paragraphs.
What an accessibility audit delivers
An accessibility audit – often also called an accessibility check – shows in black and white where your website has barriers: from contrasts and alternative texts to keyboard operation and screen reader compatibility. You receive a clearly prioritized list of issues with concrete measures instead of an anonymous tool traffic light. This way you know exactly what needs to be done – and in what order.
Accessibility also pays off economically
Accessibility is not just an obligation – it's quality: clean structure, good contrast, and clear operation improve the user experience for everyone, strengthen SEO and performance, and unlock a larger audience. Those who act early avoid expensive rework and legal risks – and gain a website that demonstrably works better.

- Accessibility statement: A reliable statement and documentation of the conformity level achieved.
- Monitoring & re-audit: Ongoing checks so your website stays accessible even after changes.
Why accessibility with MOREMEDIA®
For us, accessibility is hands-on work in the code, not a bought-in overlay tool that merely papers over real barriers. We combine technical depth with a genuine understanding of how people actually work with screen readers, keyboards, voice control, or strong magnification – pairing automated testing with manual checks using real assistive technologies to get a reliable overall picture. Every finding is documented in plain language and prioritized by effort and impact, so you know exactly what to do first and why the step pays off. Audit, consulting, and implementation come from a single source, so an audit result doesn't turn into ping-pong between multiple service providers but into a clean, lasting solution directly in the source code. And because an accessible site is also faster, more clearly structured, and easier for search engines to read, this work pays off twice for the quality of your web presence. These are the reasons to make your website accessible together with MOREMEDIA®:
- Audit & implementation from a single source: Testing and fixing from one mold, without friction losses.
- Real code-level fixes instead of overlays: Sustainable solutions instead of legally questionable overlay tools.
- WCAG 2.2 & EN 301 549: We work according to the currently applicable standards.
- BFSG in view: Including a reliable accessibility statement.
- Automatically tested: Tool-based WCAG testing followed by expert evaluation of the findings.
- SEO & performance benefit too: A clean structure strengthens visibility and load times.
- Understandable documentation: Clear reports that make sense even without technical knowledge.
- Support beyond the launch: Regular re-audits keep the achieved state stable.
Answers to frequently asked questions about accessibility
What does an accessibility audit cost?
That depends on the size and complexity of your website. We audit a representative selection of typical pages and processes. After a short initial consultation, you receive a transparent proposal with a clearly defined scope – usually far cheaper than fixing things later under time pressure.
Are we legally required to be accessible?
With the European Accessibility Act and its national implementation (the accessibility legislation), an obligation has applied to many companies since June 2025 – especially in e-commerce and digital services. We clarify whether you are specifically affected in an initial consultation.
Isn't an overlay tool or accessibility plugin enough?
No. Automated overlays rarely fix real barriers reliably and are under legal criticism. We resolve barriers directly in the code — that is sustainable, genuinely usable by screen readers, and legally sound.
What is the difference between WCAG, EN 301 549, and the BFSG?
The WCAG are the international technical standard, EN 301 549 is the European norm built on it, and the BFSG or Accessibility Act is the legal obligation. We audit and implement according to WCAG 2.2 (level AA) – so you meet the legal requirements.
How long does an accessibility audit take?
An audit is usually completed in one to three weeks, depending on the size of the website. We plan the subsequent implementation along the prioritized list of issues – critical points first.
Do we have to rebuild the entire website for this?

die sinnvollere Investition – das sagen wir ehrlich. What is an accessibility statement?
An accessibility statement publicly documents how accessible your website is, which standards are met, and how users can report problems. For many providers it's mandatory – we create it correctly and reliably.
Does MOREMEDIA® also provide ongoing accessibility support?
Yes. Every change can introduce new barriers. On request, we regularly re-audit your website, train your editorial team, and keep the achieved standard permanently stable.
