Anything but ordinary! The new online shop for Regina Schuhe.

For more than 40 years, Regina Schuhe has delighted its customers with outstanding product quality and excellent service – now at six locations across Austria. It was time to bring that premium shopping experience into the online world. That's why Regina Schuhe commissioned us with the shop design and shop development to create an online shop that delights its customers and authentically reflects the brand world.

True to the slogan “Anything but ordinary!”, we designed a shop that presents the exclusive offering of Regina Schuhe to best effect. The subsequent shop development based on Shopware and the integration into the existing merchandise management system enable a seamless shopping experience and a fully automated platform for Regina Schuhe.

The in-store shopping experience extended into the digital world — for existing and new customers alike.

Before the redesign ...

A standard Shopware template that in no way reflected the company's identity and failed to present the extensive product range optimally, because the entire shop felt restless and unstructured. That was the starting point from which we began our thinking and the collaboration with the client. It quickly became clear that our understanding of user experience and custom user interface design could not easily be implemented with the client's previous Shopware partner, so we also took over the implementation of the new templates for the online shop, so that form and function could merge into the product we had in mind for Regina Schuhe even before the work began.

The redesign – form and function merge into a modern online shop with an experience factor

Piece by piece, the extensive web designs created beforehand were implemented 1:1 in templates that gave the new Regina Schuhe shop the look of the previously redesigned corporate design and, combined with the reworked structure and the well-thought-out product range navigation, came together to form a shop we are proud of.

The menu for navigating the extensive product range was designed to allow three levels – bringing significant advantages in Regina Schuhe's most important product segments. The oversize and undersize ranges as well as the comprehensive children's shoe program can now be organized into the familiar categories, so that customers see exactly the sizes that really fit them. And without having to check the article details every time to see whether a model is even available in oversize or undersize, for example.

Extensive filtering and sorting functions now make it easier to find the right model. Or, if you like, two, three, or four models. As everyone knows, life gets more beautiful with every pair.

The homepage guides visitors with a flexible tile view of current themes, ranging from spotlight presentations of individual brands to all models in a particular color. With these continuously changing themes, we make it easier for satisfied customers to choose from Regina Schuhe's incredibly large range. Essentially just like the excellent advice provided by the trained staff in the physical stores.

One of the most significant improvements of the new user interface design is the adaptation of the entire shop for all common devices – from desktop to small smartphones. For us, good responsive design means we don't rely on the automatic defaults of ready-made templates or frameworks; instead, we check the interface manually, for every device class, page by page, and refine it until the best user experience is achieved.

Update of the corporate design

As part of renewing the online shop, we also continued the previously started work on the corporate design relaunch and gave the various print materials and advertising media a modern update that matches the new online presence and complements the in-store shopping experience.
