Digital business card: always with you, always up to date

We use AI where it makes us better – here too. HUMAN STRUCTURES is an AI-generated image series, developed and curated by us. It shows what we stand for: structure, clarity, orientation. And how we work: with the tools of today and the standards we have always held.
Show your card, the other person scans it, the contact is saved. The digital business card lives in Apple Wallet and Google Wallet and is maintained in one place.
A printed business card is out of date as soon as the first extension number changes. It gets typed in by hand, it is not there when you need it, and it stays in circulation long after someone has left the company.
The digital business card lives on the smartphone, is scanned instead of typed and keeps itself up to date. This article shows how it works, where the data comes from and how it reaches your team.
Show. Scan. Saved.
The person shows their card on the smartphone. The other person scans the QR code with the camera, no app required. A new contact is created on the phone straight away, with photo, name, position, company, phone, email, address and website. The QR code leads directly to the vCard, not to a website first.
In Apple Wallet and Google Wallet
On the iPhone, the card sits in Apple Wallet next to bank cards and tickets. A double-click on the side button is all it takes, even from the lock screen. On Android, the same card sits in Google Wallet, with links to call, write and get directions.
Apple and Google define the layout of wallet cards. We design the logo, colors, photo and the choice of fields in your company's corporate design. If you want more freedom, the card can also be added to the home screen as an app, without an app store and without installation.
One data source for everything
The contact details are maintained in one place: on a Drupal website directly with the contact persons, or in the standalone version on a server that we host and maintain for you. This produces:
- the contact persons on the website,
- the cards in Apple Wallet and Google Wallet,
- the card page with QR code,
- one vCard per person.
You decide whether a detail appears on the card, on the website or on both. The mobile number, for example, can appear on the card only.
Always up to date
Once saved, the card page and the employees' cards in Apple Wallet and Google Wallet are updated automatically, without them having to do anything. Anyone who scans the card afterwards gets the current details. If someone leaves, the card becomes invalid.
vCards for website and email signature
Each vCard is stored permanently under a unique link on the server. On the website, visitors save a contact person with a tap on “Save contact”. In the email signature, the same link points to the vCard. If a detail changes, the link delivers the current vCard from then on.
How the card reaches your team
Each person receives their card by email, with short instructions for iPhone and Android. Sending is triggered in the backend, and an overview shows who has which card. In test mode, all emails go to a test address, so that nobody receives a half-finished card before launch.
What the digital business card costs
On Drupal websites, we integrate the digital business card as a module. For all other systems, it is available as a standalone solution, regardless of what your website runs on. You can buy or rent the solution. We will quote you the price, tailored to your website and the number of people.
