Obligation

MOREMEDIA GmbH strives to make its website www.moremedia.at and all content offered there accessible in accordance with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG 2.2, conformance level AA) and the Federal Act on the Equality of Persons with Disabilities (Bundes-Behindertengleichstellungsgesetz, BGStG).

This accessibility statement applies to the website www.moremedia.at including all German, English, and French subpages (homepage, Services, References, Agency, Insights/Blog, Contact, forms, and the legal pages).

Status of compliance with the requirements

Based on a self-assessment, this website is partially compliant with conformance level AA of the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2. “Partially compliant” means that the content and functions listed below under “Non-accessible content” do not yet fully meet the requirements.

Implemented accessibility measures

The following measures are implemented on www.moremedia.at:

• Semantic HTML5 with clearly defined structural regions (header, main area, navigation, footer, articles) including ARIA roles (role="banner", role="navigation", role="contentinfo", role="article").
• A link to skip the recurring navigation and a unique main landmark on every page.
• Consistent language markup of the document (lang="de", lang="en", lang="fr") for correct pronunciation by screen readers.
• Keyboard operability of the interactive elements — main navigation, menu overlay, language selector, FAQ/accordion elements, and contact and cookie dialogs — with a visible focus indicator.
• Programmatically associated form labels, required field indications, error messages, and status messages; the confirmation after a form submission is announced as a status message and receives keyboard focus.
• Focus management, Escape key operation, and focus return in the modal contact, form, and cookie dialogs.
• Support for the “Reduce motion” system setting: motion animations (including the scroll intro animation of the service hero images, moving client logo bands, and smooth scrolling) are automatically reduced or disabled for motion-sensitive users.
• Background videos play exclusively muted; sound is only activated after an explicit user action — there are no automatically played audio sources.
• Meaningful alternative text for content-bearing images; purely decorative background images and videos are embedded via CSS and are not announced by screen readers as standalone content.
• Responsive layout that supports text enlargement and zoom up to 200% without loss of essential content or functionality.
• Improvements have been implemented for numerous technical and structural aspects. However, certain existing color and contrast combinations still do not consistently meet the requirements of WCAG 2.2 AA. The specific components affected and the measured values are listed in the following section.

Non-accessible content

Despite our efforts, the following content cannot currently be offered in a fully accessible form:

For individual texts and controls, certain combinations of the existing brand colors and their backgrounds currently do not consistently achieve the contrast ratios required by WCAG 2.2 AA. Affected are: the client label on 34 reference detail pages (1.22 to 4.27 : 1; on two further reference detail pages, the contrast was raised to 4.6 : 1 and 4.7 : 1 respectively); the category line on 99 reference video pages (3.66 : 1); the menu label and language selector in the header on 30 pages (1.02 to 3.12 : 1); the page title on 21 reference detail pages (1.32 to 2.53 : 1); a text highlight on three service pages (1.97 : 1); the placeholder text in form fields sitewide (foreground #A6A39B on field background #EDEDEA, 2.15 : 1; 2.52 : 1 on white in the focused field); small hint and description texts in the forms, on the contact page, in the privacy policy and on one reference page (#73716C on #EDEDEA, 4.15 : 1); and body text, links and headings on colored areas on four reference detail pages (1.54 to 2.67 : 1). The colors are part of the existing brand identity and are retained in the published design. An adjustment of the brand colors is not currently planned. For two of the affected reference detail pages (client label), the contrast was raised as part of a minor adjustment limited to the respective page; for the remaining combinations, a sufficient adjustment would noticeably change the color impression and was therefore not made. As a result, this content may be harder to perceive for people with impaired vision.

• The project and reference videos contain no spoken text. According to a systematic classification, however, most of these videos convey additional visual information (e.g., displayed page content or campaign details) and in some cases additional meaningful music, without an equivalent text or audio alternative being available yet. The affected videos are being supplemented editorially step by step.
• Some older image content may not yet have complete alternative texts. These are being added continuously.
• The horizontal image sliders (project galleries, “More references”) are primarily optimized for mouse and touch operation. Navigation via the associated dot indicators is possible by keyboard; the swipe gesture itself cannot be performed via the keyboard as an alternative.
• The animated, custom cursor (for example over video areas and sliders) is a mouse-only feature. All associated functions can alternatively be reached via keyboard or visible controls.
• The language selector in the main menu uses genuine, standalone links outside the menu button. Operation itself is fully possible via keyboard and mouse.
• The touch targets of the mobile language selector are slightly below the recommended minimum size of 24 × 24 pixels; the spacing to adjacent targets meets the WCAG 2.2 exception, but an enlargement has not yet been implemented.
• Full functionality (smooth scrolling, sliders, menu overlay, submitting the contact form) requires JavaScript to be enabled. The content itself is contained in the HTML document and remains readable even without JavaScript; when JavaScript is disabled, the form under /en/forms/ displays a notice with alternative contact options (phone, email), but this does not replace the full form functionality.

We are continuously working to remove the existing barriers.

Preparation and review of this statement

This statement was prepared on June 1, 2026, and last reviewed technically and editorially on October 7, 2026.

It is based on a self-assessment by MOREMEDIA GmbH. The semantic document structure, keyboard operation, focus management, form operation, responsive display, and color contrasts were tested – using automated tools (axe-core) as well as manual keyboard and focus tests. Testing with a real screen reader (e.g., VoiceOver, NVDA) was not carried out as part of this review.

The next review will take place within twelve months at the latest and after any significant technical or design changes.
