Accessibility statement

MOREMEDIA® e.U. is committed to making its website accessible. This statement describes the current state of accessibility, the measures implemented, and the limitations that still exist.

Obligation

MOREMEDIA® e.U. strives to make its website www.moremedia.at and all content offered there accessible in accordance with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG 2.1, conformance level AA), the Austrian Web Accessibility Act (WZG), and the Federal Act on the Equality of Persons with Disabilities (Bundes-Behindertengleichstellungsgesetz, BGStG).

This accessibility statement applies to the website www.moremedia.at including all subpages (homepage, Services, References, Agency, Insights/Blog, Contact, and the legal pages).

Status of compliance with the requirements

This website is partially compliant with conformance level AA of the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1. “Partially compliant” means that the content and functions listed below under “Non-accessible content” do not yet fully meet the requirements.

Implemented accessibility measures

The following measures are implemented on www.moremedia.at:

Semantic HTML5 with clearly defined structural regions (header, main area, navigation, footer, articles) including ARIA roles (role="banner", role="navigation", role="contentinfo", role="article").
Consistent language markup of the document (lang="de") for correct pronunciation by screen readers.
Keyboard operability of the interactive elements — navigation, menu overlay, FAQ/accordion elements, and the dot navigation of the image sliders — with a visible focus indicator.
Meaningful ARIA labels, including on the section navigation (aria-label), on the sliders' dot navigation (e.g., “Image 2”), and on the video button (“Play video with sound in fullscreen”).
Support for the “prefers-reduced-motion” system setting: motion animations (fade-in/reveal effects, rotating badges, smooth scrolling) are automatically reduced or disabled for motion-sensitive users.
Background videos play exclusively muted; sound is only activated after an explicit user action via the “Fullscreen & sound” button — there are no automatically played audio sources.
Meaningful alternative text for content-bearing images; purely decorative background images and videos are embedded via CSS and are not announced by screen readers.
Responsive layout that supports text enlargement and zoom up to 200% without loss of content or functionality.
High color contrasts: dark text on a light, warm-white background meets the WCAG AA requirement for body text (contrast ratio ≥ 4.5: 1).

Non-accessible content

Despite our efforts, the following content cannot currently be offered in a fully accessible form:

The videos in the project and reference posts do not currently have subtitles or audio description throughout. The videos are illustrative; the essential project information is additionally provided as text.
Some older image content may not yet have complete alternative texts. These are being added continuously.
The horizontal image sliders (project galleries, “More references”) are primarily optimized for mouse and touch operation. Navigation via the associated dot indicators is possible by keyboard; the swipe gesture itself cannot be performed via the keyboard as an alternative.
The animated, custom cursor (for example over video areas and sliders) is a mouse-only feature. All associated functions can alternatively be reached via keyboard or visible controls.
Full functionality (smooth scrolling, sliders, menu overlay) requires JavaScript to be enabled. The content itself is contained in the HTML document and remains readable even without JavaScript.

We are continuously working to remove the existing barriers.

Preparation of this statement

This statement was prepared on June 1, 2026. It is based on a self-assessment by MOREMEDIA® e.U. Keyboard operability, screen reader compatibility (VoiceOver on macOS/iOS, NVDA on Windows), and color contrasts were tested.

The next review is scheduled for June 2027.
