Highly resistant safety glass from Austria

SICURTEC® is an Austrian family business and an internationally leading manufacturer of highly resistant security glass. Through the unique combination of extremely hard silicate glass and highly elastic polycarbonate, SICURTEC® has been setting new benchmarks for decades in two security-critical fields: personal and property protection, and protective panels for machine tools.

We had the special honor of holistically redesigning the entire corporate presence of SICURTEC®.

The brand strategy

In a two-day brand workshop, we worked with SICURTEC® to gather all the information needed to develop a sustainable brand strategy tailored to the company. During the process, “protecting people and assets” emerged as SICURTEC®'s central brand core. The goal was then to make it tangible for the target audience at every touchpoint. As a digital agency, we naturally also focused on the sustainable digital transformation of the company's communications.

The slogan

With the slogan “clearly protected”, SICURTEC® can now communicate its brand identity holistically and precisely at the same time. It stands for protection while highlighting the company's transparent and trustworthy way of doing business.

The logo

In redesigning the visual appearance, we replaced the previously sober, functional design with a modern, individual visual identity. The new logo sets a powerful impulse for the positive brand transformation to the outside world. From a three-dimensional object, we developed the stylized layer structure of the SICURTEC® glass, which also evokes an abstracted fingerprint – a symbol of the handcrafted precision and uniqueness of every product.

The logo as a design anchor

In developing the new visual appearance, the previously very restrained, generic, and functional design was replaced by a modern, individual visual identity. The new logo thus provides the impulse that carries the positive overall transformation of the brand to the outside world. From a three-dimensional object, the stylized layer structure of the SICURTEC® glass emerges, simultaneously creating the visual impression of a simplified fingerprint – a symbol of the individuality and craftsmanship behind SICURTEC® products.

Product names and sub-logos

SICURTEC® products meet an absolute premium standard in the market and are meant to establish themselves as their own sub-brands. The product naming used up until the relaunch, which always included the designation "sicurLITE" in the name, was changed as part of the new brand concept – and given the fact that "Lite" nowadays always comes across as the smaller version of something truly good (the designation was originally meant to highlight the low weight and slimmer construction of the elements) – and replaced with the company name SICURTEC®. As a result, each product line of the SICURTEC® brand now has its own distinct sub-logo to sustainably increase recognition value. Beyond that, this optimally supports the medium-term goal of establishing the brand name as a synonym for safety glass and directs the focus onto a unified brand.

Typography and wording

The new corporate font was chosen for its recognition value and easy readability. It ensures optimal absorption of information. The new corporate wording conveys the brand facets of relaxation, quality, and trust by presenting information in an approachable way. The topic of safety is placed comprehensively at the center.

The color world

The color world, consisting of innocent light and trust-inspiring dark blue tones, conveys trust, security, and orientation. Blue is the color of reliability – exactly the quality SICURTEC delivers daily as a security partner. The light tones create clarity and approachability, the deep blues convey stability, competence, and protection. Together they form a coherent system that can be used consistently across all applications – from the website to print materials to signage – and makes the brand recognizable at first glance.

The imagery

The imagery is characterized by the holistic, consistent visualization of calm situations, underscoring the reassuring tone of the communication.

Award-winning web design and web development

The new corporate website shines in the new corporate design and acts fully in the spirit of the brand strategy. Clearly organized sections in an appealing design give users the perfect opportunity to learn about the product range and the company comprehensively, yet in a very targeted and relaxed way. Naturally, the website is perfectly optimized for all devices and optimally prepared for search engines through expert search engine optimization (SEO).

The SICURTEC® website was awarded an "Honorable Mention" as well as the "Mobile Excellence Award" by the jury of the international Awwwards.

Product visualizations

To give SICURTEC® customers an optimal impression of the products, visualizations developed using 3D design were created. Here you can see the construction of all SICURTEC® products. The virtual approach brings two advantages: the camera angle, lighting, and numerous other parameters can be adjusted again and again for each specific situation, even retroactively. Furthermore, the products' exact appearance can easily be modified to maintain confidentiality regarding the precise product construction.

Print materials and promotional items

The corporate design runs through all advertising materials and guarantees that they always present a unified appearance. This optimally serves the recognition value of the company's identity. Defining the design guidelines as part of the corporate design enormously simplifies the development of all future advertising materials, which also has a positive effect on future costs.
